SKATE 3 / SESSION NOTES

Skate 3 browser controls

Keyboard keys map to a virtual Xbox controller in the embedded clean room build.

Focus the game first

Click the game canvas before using the keyboard. If the page scrolls instead of the skater moving, the game does not have keyboard focus. On a controller, press a button after connecting it so the browser can detect it.

KeyboardController input
W / A / S / DLeft stick — movement and steering
Arrow keysRight stick — flick inputs and tricks
SpaceA — push while skating
E / Shift / FB / X / Y
Z / CLeft / right trigger
Q / RLeft / right bumper
EnterStart

Try a first line

  1. Click the canvas and press Space to push.
  2. Use A and D to steer toward an open part of the park.
  3. For an ollie, crouch with the right stick down and flick it up. On keyboard, use the down/up arrows as the corresponding stick inputs.
  4. Practice on flat ground before trying a rail or ramp.

A keyboard uses digital directions; it cannot reproduce every subtle analog stick motion. Exact trick behavior may differ from the original console game.

Controller support

The upstream web project supports browser gamepads. A controller recognized by your browser is the best starting point. Our site has not verified individual Xbox, PlayStation or third-party controller models, Bluetooth behavior, or controller vibration.

Touch controls

The web project includes two on-screen sticks and virtual buttons. Our launcher enables touch controls and reduced rendering on devices reported as having a coarse pointer. Availability of a touch interface does not prove the device can run the engine. See the compatibility guide for limits.

Fullscreen and leaving the session

Use the toolbar’s Fullscreen action to expand the game while staying on this site. Press Escape to leave browser fullscreen. Use End session in our toolbar to unload the iframe and stop its activity. Closing a session may lose unsaved game progress.
